Important Notice

Retirement and Closure of Childsafe Disclosure Services

 

 Dear Valued Clients

 

 It is with mixed emotions that I am writing to inform you of my upcoming retirement and the subsequent closure of Childsafe's disclosure application processing services.

 

After many fulfilling years serving organisations dedicated to the safety and well-being of children and protected adults, we have made the decision to retire at the end of March 2025.

 

Consequently, Childsafe will cease processing all disclosure applications from 15 March 2025. However we are committed to completing all applications submitted before that date and we will continue to provide our full support and maintain our high standards of service throughout this period.

 

We understand that this change may require you to adjust your internal procedures, and we want to provide you with ample time to transition to alternative providers. We encourage you to begin exploring alternative disclosure application services as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any disruption to your operations.

 

Some options you may wish to consider

• You can register your organisation with Disclosure Scotland if you’re applying for PVG disclosures your employees.

Registering means that you’ll be able to countersign disclosure applications. You’ll become a registered body.  - Register your organisation with Disclosure Scotland - mygov.scot

• Advisory PVG

We have contacted the established Umbrella Body “Advisory PVG” who are willing to process PVG Disclosures on your behalf
